CKD Nutrition Calculator — Check Your Renal Balance Score
Enter today's nutrient intake to see your personalised RBS — the same calculation the app runs every day.
Managing a CKD diet means tracking five key nutrients — protein, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, and fluid — each with different limits depending on your CKD stage, dialysis status, and other conditions. This free calculator uses the same evidence-based guidelines (KDOQI) as the KiDDiAI app to score your daily intake across all five pillars and combine them into a single 0–100 score.
Select your profile below, enter what you've eaten today, and see exactly where you stand — and what to adjust.

The app logs your meals automatically, uses your doctor's exact limits, and tracks your score over time.
This calculator uses standard KDOQI guidelines for demonstration. It does not replace medical advice. Your nephrologist or renal dietitian may prescribe different limits — use the app to enter those exactly.
How the Renal Balance Score is calculated: Each of the five nutritional pillars — protein, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, and fluid — is scored independently against stage-specific KDOQI guidelines, then combined with weights tailored to your CKD profile. A dialysis patient's protein and fluid pillars carry more weight; an early-stage patient's potassium and phosphorus are not yet restricted. The result is a single 0–100 number that reflects your full dietary picture for the day.
